Why? Seriously, what possible difference does it make to your life if this game succeeds or fails? Why could you possibly have any reason to hope this game bombs other than to possibly be able to say "I told you so?"

To me him getting back to Gotham is kind of a non-issue. It was explained in the first movie that he had set up dummy corporations to order the stuff for his suit and buy up stock.
