it's not true.
it's not true.
It. Was. Sarcasm. They do not run barefoot.
"That blister turns to a calus which then hardens your skin to make it more durable; causeing your skin to get stronger"
:( I'm glad someone is entertained!!! It's nearly six on a Friday, and so I am leaving work and going drinking. No more responding, and F the long run tomorrow, I'm drinking away the sadness tonight.
you are making a great point. We'd all be better off without shoes.
Sigh...I think I'm done. I was pretty much copy/pasting for most of it. I'm glad it was entertaining for someone!
Ok sorry, not millions of years. Hundreds of thousands of years, better?
But that's the point- a company can't say "our product will do this!" when their product does not do this. Thus, Nike and New Balance don't say "our running shoes will NOT change the natural alignment of your feet ankles and legs". If they did, you could probably sue them, if you can prove the shoes don't do as…
I was being sarcastic. I was being very sarcastic. They do not run or train barefoot, ever. They wear normal shoes. Jesus.
Where to start....you took the time to respond to my post and obviously know literally nothing about the subject.
No, it does not answer my question, because I was being very sarcastic. As is pointed out probably a hundred times by now. Kenyan runners might run on dirt and grass, but they run in shoes. Just like every other elite runner in the world.
That is absolutely false- you think the people who invented shoes millions of years ago did so for fashion reasons, and not to protect their feet from stepping on sharp rocks, or to keep their feet warm in the winter? Jesus christ your response is amazing.
Clearly I was being sarcastic. Sorry, you might have missed that while you were coming up with your witty reply.
There's a big difference between the "minimalist" shoes that elites wear and Vibram/barefoot shoes.
And still, they wear shoes whenever they run and train and race.
Perhaps they don't really run barefoot, ever. I was being sarcastic.
I was being sarcastic. They do not run barefoot. Mr. Smart Guy.
You are obviously way too smart to have noticed my sarcasm, or to have scrolled down to see all of my comments explaining that I was being sarcastic, or to have googled for the answer and noticed that literally no elite Kenyan or Ethiopian runners run barefoot.
Nope.
....it was sarcasm. They don't run barefoot, ever.
