I don’t comment here much because I am a very casual gamer but I am so incredibly excited by this. It has been YEARS since I have been this pumped for a game. I cannot wait.

I understand what herd immunity is, the problem is, if we do not have a vaccine then what other choice do we have? We can’t stay locked up forever. There is a huge assumption people are making that a vaccine will happen, it’s just a matter of time. That is very hopeful but could certainly not happen.
There shouldn’t be a one size fits all solution here but with the real possibility of a vaccine being something that might not happen we have to start taking some steps to returning to normal, using common sense precautions.
The biggest issue in terms of data quality is we really have no idea how many people have had COVID and were asymptomatic or had such few symptoms that they wouldn’t have thought of ever getting tested. There is this giant gaping hole in our data needs to be able to assess the situation, especially in terms of opening…
There it is, the I don’t agree with you so you must watch Fox News LMAOOOO. Bud, I haven’t seen Fox News in years nor am I a Trump supporter but feel free to keep painting with those broad strokes.
Also, it’s super easy to get a test done in Texas now. I know firsthand of someone who got one done with minimal symptoms (it was negative btw) the day they inquired about a test.
You’re willfully ignorant if you think any of the data out there is high quality. What I do know is the number of deaths is basically a footnote and that is going to be tracked more accurately and is erring on the side of too many deaths counted if anything.
Hey, here’s an idea. Maybe areas that have high infection rates should be treated differently than those who don’t. In Texas the rate of infection is incredibly low given the population of the state compared to NYC. I know this is super difficult to comprehend but maybe, just maybe, there should be different responses…
One more thing? We might need to open up schools and daycares before we have a vaccine.
Cereal has become my dessert of choice. It’s relatively low calorie, you can eat a lot, and it helps satisfy that sweet tooth. I’m not ashamed of my Reeses Puffs Amazon Pantry order...
But when I read Gizmodo they tell me the Republicans are trying to kill us for the corporations, that we should obliterate the economy to save one life, and the government printers should just go brrrrrrr and pay for everything.
You should definitely kill yellow jackets, those things are evil
Yeah my parents are being way riskier than any of us kids are and it’s maddening. I am not really scared of getting it for myself because I have very healthy but I mostly worry about passing it on to them. Since I have done my part and my daughter’s mom is fine with me going there (she knows about them slacking on the…
Quest is doing them in my area, might be worth looking into
I am going to start seeing family again next weekend. The main reason for avoiding them in the first place is I did not want to infect them. Well, it has been long enough where I should be fine even if I was asymptomatic prior and the only people I have contact with (my daughter and her mom) have been taking social…
I get so bored during the weekends that I actually welcome the structure of a workday now. If there was more to do it would be different but I’ll save those vacation days for when things start opening up more. If not, I’ll roll some over to next year and burn the rest at the end of the year.
I just kind of ignored it until today. I knew I made all good decisions long term but didn’t feel like tracking the short term. Was happy to see I wasn’t actually in the hole at the moment since I kept buying as the market kept dipping.
We haven’t had an “all hands on deck” type moment like this though. It is bound to bring something new out of it even if it isn’t a vaccine. Also, money is pouring in as well which always helps things.
If anything good comes out of this we should have definitely advanced things like vaccines. We currently have some of the brightest minds in the world all focused on this very problem, there is no way we don’t come away with some big breakthroughs/innovations even if there isn’t a COVID-19 vaccine.
I finally added up all the money I dumped into the market as we rode our way down and I am actually in the green compared to Jan 1 now so when we actually recover that should look even nicer. Going to wait to see if it drops a bit more before I fire the rest of my ammo though (aside from normal 401k/HSA investments).
