Now playing

Only played/playing Witcher 3 but check out trailers for the first Witcher. Especially The Rise of the White Wolf.

So whose drawing is the kid’s and whose is the professional’s? I mean, I can guess but with the likes of Damien Hir$t being labeled as professionals, you never really know. /s

We’re pretty much in the same boat. Witcher 3! I’ve been at it since Christmas. Got invited for Game Jam but for the first time, I’m more interested playing a game than making a game (or at least, attempting to).

They claim they are only going to consider the “sporting reasons” behind expansion, which seems like obvious bullshit when one considers the potential introduction of penalty kick tiebreakers into the group stage.

Yeah. My online presence is pretty easy to track (I have good SEO :P) but not on FB/Twitter and I don’t know if that is hurting my chances. I’m a software engineer and most people in the same profession will understand if I cite privacy concerns as the reason why FB/Twitter has very little public info about me. On the

I almost did, got glad I didn’t.

Glad that Skyrim won Test of Time. I did not get to vote for it but would have.

The Witcher 3. In fact, that’s what I’ve been playing for the whole of my holiday downtime. Coming from almost 200 hours of Skyrim it took me some time to adjust to the combat. But now that I get it, I really like how it is done!

Adjusting difficulty is definitely not cheating.

Unless you’re in software engineering where (oftentimes) more than half the interviews require the cool tricks you learned in your first programming course but will almost never use in production. Or stuff from that algorithms book that could stun a cow.

An idea popped into my head...would you cover Ludum Dare games? Maybe not on a dedicated column and maybe not all LDs in a year but at least give them a mention? I believe Notch joined one this year, the result of which was on Hacker News.

Great move from the KI team. I like how their post could be educational as well and how they phrased it (“We learned...”). Hope we see more games pay better tribute to source material.

Yeah the new tracker is way useful than previous iterations and it is not perfect yet, but my biggest issue here is the hype they killed :(. Plus, where I am, there are no indications yet that the babies are acquirable; Pokedex looks pretty much the same and Pikachu et. al.’s candies make no mention of their baby

Read #2 and starred instantly. This article hits too close to home, and I’m not even obsessed with spreading the gospel of the PC Master Race.

I see. Now that you mention it, it’s incomplete indeed. Though some of the missing items you pointed out are things I’d (YMMV) consider as for case-to-case basis (like shelter) or goes without saying (like extra layers).

I’d argue that the moral ambiguity you are talking about is also sort of present in Skyrim in the form of choosing between Stormcloaks and Imperials. With 180+ hours clocked-in I never managed to choose one side definitively over the other. In fact, I’ve left that storyline untouched until now. Hard to choose knowing

You forgot to mention the Camelbak Bladder, the best way to hydrate ever. It’s the blue blob at the right.

Central Park the urban park? I don’t think so. I don’t know if there is a nuance to American English that I’m missing but where I’m from we could spend a weekend “hiking up a mountain”. And for such like hikes this isn’t really overkill.

And I hope, when frame rate is decent, that depth of field is not ever-present no? Please?
