I didn't disable any location setting and I get pretty decent battery ( more than what I've had with the iphone 4). Just make sure u make a full dicharge-charge cycle once (completely empty the battery and then completely charge it)!

it's a good idea actually, it depends on how it's implemented. if the image forms on the screen instead of "behind it", the eyes focus at a small distance and de-focus the background (just like the monitor and the reflection behind it).
