I don’t know that I agree about the interior. The S3's interior is pretty drab compared to a 3-Series. It’s also an odd situation because buyers who would pick the Audi’s interior should prefer the 3 Series’ styling. I guess it comes down to personal tastes.

I like the S3 as a car but it just screams “cheaper car trying to play luxury” to me from a styling standpoint. The hood is too short and tall, leading to a beltline which is too tall. It’s hard to describe, but something is just off from a proportions standpoint.

Similar math led to me the Caddy as well. I originally wanted a slightly used ATS but they were practically giving away the new ones at the time.

I looked. Ultimately, I was in a bind because I wanted fairly low miles (due to the fear) and I wanted to buy a 3rd party or BMW warranty (due to the fear). Ultimately, due to my budget, I realized I would have to pick one of the two and chose neither.

No. 2.0T Premium (LSD, Magnetic Suspension). Lovely car though. It’s really grown on me over time, it’s just a fun, eager, lively daily driver.

It wasn’t even only major things like that, it was also the fear of the little things like brakes, fluids, etc.
