I have (had) SO many questions about this incident.

Why...are the parents not being investigated/sued? I mean, I know they said they practiced responsible gun ownership and the weapon was secured, etc., but, SOMEHOW the toddler (TODDLER) got past all that security, got his hands on the weapon and brought it to school.

Gun companies are immune from suit—thank Congress circa 2005 when they passed the “Pursuit of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act”. So even assuming she could find an attorney to file it, the case would get dismissed in the pleading stage.

I hope this woman gets a dump truck full of money for having to endure this bullshit. I’d love to think those parents would be stripped of their firearms, but we know that’s not going to happen.

I definitely think this woman deserves something for going through this ordeal, because it definitely sounds like there were big mistakes made. However, bankrupting the school system isn’t going to make them safer. Sue the gun company for the big bucks, I say.

Aside from the fact not everyone can afford to stay at home and homeschool their kid or hire someone to do it, I can confirm as a college administrator homeschooled kids are the WEIRDEST and don’t adjust great to college life.
