seconded on yael stone. anybody else get real tears falling out of their eyes when she went from quirky-concerned to crying about not getting to dress her baby up in a bowl of spaghetti with a meatball on top of his head? morello's goofy but that was some serious acting. got me.

Maybe the evolution of humans into silicon-based forms with infinitely programmable improvements is whiterose's master plan! The mechanization of humanity certainly seems like the sort of philosophy-class theme that esmail would be all over

SO unfair of this episode to air the night before my Arabic quiz tomorrow…. unfortunately I would only be able to translate if the cabbie was saying "I like to go to the cinema with my colleagues" very slowly in Formal Standard

Nothing's better than when you decide you just implicitly trust a showrunner (as I have with people behind FX's Fargo) and I so, so, so want to tie my wagon to Esmail but next week's finale will really make or break my trust. I respect the risks so much but I agree with Alex that this has the potential to absolutely

However it's possible that the Tyrell we just saw in this episode is in elliot's mind. It's unclear whether the cab driver actually did see/hear two people. Season 1 Tyrell is real but (as far as I know) all of season 2 Tyrell, what little we have, could be fake.

When Angela had just been driven through suburbia to this house and the garage door was closing as the three of them sat silently in the car i literally wanted to die

Exactly! ^

yes!!!!!! i hope we see him again before the season is through, even if it's just a little callback. what a gem

does this mean there are two episodes left?? Confused about how esmail is counting to twelve

Not sure if this has been said already (probably has) but it's driving me crazy: "the man and the girl" are clearly mobely and trenton. These are the missing people. I think part of the drama of the call being cut off stemmed from the fact that we were about to learn what happened to the two of them, but just barely

I thought this too— he was just getting rid of his phone. I can't think what would be in a package and I definitely didn't see him holding one… Alex?

Where does the rest of fsociety think elliot is? teaching angela to hack in a day must have started with a conversation around something like "hey so elliot can't hack this because he's completely gone of the face of the earth / in the hospital for reasons unexplained / being literally kidnapped as we speak," right?

how they introduced angela in the opening sequence though?? i got chills. trying to sitcom-smile while also crying at her mother's funeral… it almost felt like she was breaking out of the sitcom dreamscape the same way elliot already was.

The connection I instantly thought of when that came up was marble cake federalism (how the u.s. mixes and blends states' rights and national government authority) but I can't make that idea fit into the themes of the episode without stretching so hard I break the sound barrier…

check out the five pictures in the "gallery" folder when you click on the My Briefcase icon!!! Bird, pawn shop sign, chinese character, kings highway sign and butterfly? What does it mean???
