Thank you! I see quite a few people complaining of plot holes. But upon multiple viewings you actually start to fill in those holes. You were so excited to see it that you may have missed some of the tiny details that connects everything.
I agree 100%. Moreover, on second viewing, I noticed that a few things I thought were contrived or plot hole-y actually were not. Like- Poe explicitly says he woke up in the dark, meaning by the time he woke up, Finn, Rey and BB8 had already fled the planet, and Poe had no choice but to just go an make his report.…
And considering expectations for the film were at “Best movie ever or else” status, the fact it wasn’t perfect dominated my initial reaction. Not to mention that I was still coming to grips with what I’d just seen. I couldn’t believe that after all this time, I’d finally seen the movie I had been living with and…
