Corruption in Texas????????

Hell, you don’t need to be in rural Virginia to see these “Farm Use” plates. I live in the Richmond area and see more than I should of these. The vehicles are not inspected, and I can be certain they are not carrying any kind of insurance. Yet my insurance agent wonders why I carry $1 million of uninsured motorist

Ah yes, I live in Kentucky and know these well.

Come to rural TN/VA if you want to see people stretch the term “Farm Use” to microns thin. You have a barely functioning car that is a legitimate danger to the occupants and everyone around it that wouldn’t pass a state inspection and an insurance company would total out if you claimed a broken ashtray...put a Farm

while the threat to road safety is very real, I think that’s what you get when a good chunk of the population is forced to drive, the people with less means will find the most affordable option to keep being an active citizen for the country

So are auto shows going to be dead in 10 years because for some dumb reason automakers decided electric vehicles are tech instead of cars? I don’t want to go to CES to see new cars

Amazing write-up, loved reading it. Idk anything about their plant but our auto plants 1st shift starts at 6am and takes lunch at 10am, even then there’s still plenty of employees in the building eating at break areas and such, so I’d say your right on the money for the lack of employees.

I’m now expecting a lawsuit filed against Jalopnik by Vinlawyers and for this article to be pulled. Also, Kevin better be looking over his shoulder for the VinMercs.

Baby? You called the PR guy “Baby”?

Getting the vibe of the fake grocery store in The Interview

This is called a Potemkin Village, a leftover from Stalinist-Leninist Communism

Fascinating writeup. More of this, please.

Yikes, like it’s great that they’re pushing into the market and going full EV (I always like more options especially from multiple countries) but damn it sounds like they are trying to brute force the market by going extremely lavish with the showmanship and hoping that the buyers have never driven another EV before

Why does a car without a ICE need a CARB EO to be sold?  Seems like a vehicle without an ICE wouldn’t be under CARBs purview.

One quick question: do you know what you got?

Great pics, but a motor shot is pretty necessary for race car!

The peanut gallery demands to know if you’re one of those “I say the AC needs a recharge but I have no actual clue what’s wrong and haven’t touched the AC button since the Bush administration” sellers.

Just drop the floor and put a Kirkey in it. Yeah it’s gonna suck a little, but less than you think (assuming you haven’t already).  You can always weld a stock floor back in...

so you’re not going to modify the floor of your car to fit yourself in because in the future you might put old seats back in (something you may very well never actually do), so instead you’re going to sell the thing and no longer have it? that...doesn’t make sense at all

Get a friend with a welder and some fabrication skills. Floors are temporary, racing is forever.
