Just because a lot of people like something, doesn’t mean it isn’t stupid.

Silly exhaust trick. But the sound coming out sucks anyway.
God... not only are they stupid, but the holes they cut look like they’d come out of a low budget local exhaust shop that also happens to be the owner’s rent home.
The state of Michigan rejects your apology, and demands that you meet outside Tim Horton’s at sundown to receive your timbits-based punishment.
I’m sure this won’t be a popular idea on Jalopnik, but a better long term solution is to push for your town to build better public transit and protected bike paths. I love driving. I pretty much won’t buy a vehicle without a stickshift because I love climbing through the gears and hitting that sweet rev-matched…
I’m getting a lot of SM from the rear (phrasing). Lovely.
One of my favourite jokes was Nathan eating a sauce packet as a snack when he was undercover as Thriftyboy.
It’s nuts that so few reviews I’ve read of this focus on the humor, or view the humor as incidental. This episode was chock full of belly laughs for me, especially when he incepts Kor the trivia answers (“It’s moments like these I curse the Chinese for inventing gunpowder”). I get that the deep introspective stuff is…
Doesn’t help me at all when it’s still mid-90s at midnight. I just wish these builders that are making modern homes would actually design their houses for the heat. Instead, they have a small set of designs that they just keep rotating around the whole country.
When has Florida been for anything but taking away freedom and rights?
“I thought I heard music. Also I thought he had a gun. Just saying not saying.” - Florida Cops
Yup. You can hear straight-piped Harley’s from 5 blocks away, but no tickets for those people.
This law is basically an excuse for profiling and “contempt of cop” and the bill’s author should be prosecuted under 18 USC 241 conspiracy to deprive rights.
And take Texas with you when you go!
Yeah, that’s where I’m at. Loud music in cars is annoying as hell, but that’s not really what this is about.
On the one hand, it’d be nice not to have other peoples music accosting me in my car/on the street/in a building, and I can confirm that having loud music makes it harder to hear emergency vehicles, but this all seems like too good of an excuse for cops to pull people over, and as such, will be abused.
This seems likely to be used purely as an excuse to hassle minorities. The fact that they didn’t include any kind of objective standard is very telling.
“I’m not a huge fan of his, but come on. PayPal, Tesla, Space X, and now Nuerolink. That’s not luck, that’s single-minded determination and an insane work ethic.”
Musk merged into PayPal and was forced out as CEO, and then bought into Tesla and sued to be declared one of the founders. I’ll grant him the two others but it’s easy to found “what if?” companies when you’re already a billionaire.
