Man, I hope you’re getting paid for this.

My favorite are the people who claim to be libertarians because they don’t want to call themselves the forbidden R-word (Republican) meanwhile they spout the exact same garbage that the Republicans do, but somehow pretending it’s a different political wing makes it okay?

Can’t forget prison labor!

When you’ve had to install anti-sucide measures at your workplace, your position in the Worker Suicide Rankings isn’t really the part you want to focus on.

Farm work is a bit of a special case because farm labor in the US has *always* been performed by an underclass that essentially has no power to push for better wages and treatment.
First we had chattel slavery, where laborers were literally owned by their bosses.
Then we had sharecropping, where laborers were kept in

The idea that Americans are lazy and soft, and America is going downhill because of it, has been a talking point on the political right for decades. Often there’s a subtext that it’s “other” Americans who are the problem, not the target audience of whoever’s doing the talking. “You guys are the good guys, it’s just

Sadly there are no good phone mounts, just ones that are bad in different ways.

Rich people telling everyone to work hard, can fuck off and die.

Ah yes, I want nothing more than for my car to be assembled by an over-worked, sleep deprived technician.

hahahahahahaha, how much are you down?

Something Russell Brand posted early in the pandemic (the post wasn’t related to COVID) spoke to me and I was like this guy gets it, I’m gonna follow him. But then I started seeing other stuff he posted and I was like wtf this guy is crazypants, I’m gonna unfollow him immediately and always be ashamed that I thought

If anyone trusts Russell Brand with their health, they get what they deserve.

This. I’m not a damn executive but between a very busy job, housework, and my kid, spending even an afternoon at the dealer feels like this massive setback. Weekend hours are gold to me, and half the time I shop at dealers, the fees etc that stack up get very, very close to the actual out the door price for Carvana

This was my experience as well. I did all the negotiating online.

Used car dealers are such a pain in the ass that a lot of people are willing to lose a lot of money simply for the convenience of not having to deal with one.
