Yeah, but 99% of people on the road would have no idea what to do with the codes anyways, so why should the manufacturer bother?

Seriously, it’s already bad enough that people can go to Autozone and get the codes read by an inaccurate scan tool and be sold some shit that has nothing to do with their error code. People really don’t realize how complicated these systems are; the little screen on your dash can’t take you through the three pages of

$15k-$20k for a Harley is still an objectively terrible financial decision to make for most people. Even if someone were to get a daily, they could spend $8k on a mint used Yamaha or Honda and it would be infinitely more reliable than a new Harley.

Well, consumers still need clean air to breathe, so I think less pollution would be a win.

This is a very childish statement. If your wants are objectively terrible for the planet, then you can’t get that want. Nobody needs 400-horsepower SUVs to commute with and it’s very difficult to provide evidence that emissions standards have caused any increase in vehicle prices.

Good.

Taking my girlfriend’s base 2009 Fit through corners at speed is a hair-raising, visceral experience, which I imagine is not unlike that of the Aventador.

I guess the 2nd-gen CTS...

Why speculate and print shit that isn’t known in lieu of printing what actually is known?

I’ve been on reddit for years, and while reading about a city should be innocent enough, just realize that reddit is a giant hive mind that can be as blind as any other large community. You get all ends of the bell curve.

also, please kill me if I ever end up in a place like that

What’s the interest rate? It’s hard to believe that someone couldn’t put a few grand down on a used 2011 Civic or something with a loan from a credit union and have similar payments on a car that will cost a lot less to insure and will actually be owned outright once the payments are done.

How will it hurt economically? Things are certainly not perfect in CA, but their economy is doing far better than any other state, and their GDP is higher than almost ever other country on this planet, and they’ve had stricter pollution laws in place for decades.

What world do you live in that fighting for less pollution is a bad thing?

I mean, I definitely did some stupid shit as a teenager, but this is next-level lack of comprehension.
