My current ape like perception of the EV market right now: I don’t want any car that can’t use the Tesla Supercharger network. I don’t want any car built by Tesla due to their build quality, UI decisions, and customer support reputation.

You would go apoplectic if you truly understood fossil fuel subsidies.

He’s as good a businessman as Trump is, which is to say, he’s a terrible businessman. Musk has been railroaded out of businesses before because of how bad he is. Both men are often surrounded by others who work to shield them from the consequences of their terrible business decisions. Trump has generally been

You can like Mr. Musk’s behavior or not but...

I might too, but I can’t promise a little bile might slip out before I managed to swallow all of it.

Not only that, but he expects to still have access to, and dominion over, cars already sold, meaning the buyers will have to continue paying Tesla indirectly, as they pay for electricity and battery degradation.

That’s exactly what the Loop SHOULD be, that you are paying a driver to drive you around the Loop is absurd. I mean Tesla’s can “drive themselves” they have autopilot and Full Self Driving. Well that you need a person behind the wheel in a 100% controlled environment is proof your product can not drive itself. But

I thought you were going to say “none of them, because people don’t actually want advice they just want you to confirm what they already were going to get”.

If it’s an autonomous taxi for $30000 with FSD, that should mean they can make a human driven commuter EV without FSD for $22000. That’s the only Tesla I would be potentially interested in.

GM seems to have discovered the only source of interior plastic worse than what Chrysler uses.

Any Chevy. GM’s interiors in general are a joke, but Chevy in particular makes you feel like you’re sitting in a product designed for a developing market. I don’t want to pay US car prices for an Indonesian driving experience.

I can see the RoboVan being used in the Boring Company’s tunnels in Vegas and other geofenced mass-transit roles, but the CyberCab/RoboTaxi is years away from actual use.”

Hyundai doesn’t seem to have a problem selling EVs (Ioniq 5 and 6). I don’t understand why companies like Ford and GM can’t figure it out. Stellantis?  They will go under soon, so no hope for them helping out.

The San Diego Chargers, I knew it was them!

yeah Infinity is kind of useless at this point. Who needs a pimped up Rogue that is basically a pimped up Renault?

I would be willing to bet if you dig into the TOS that literally no one outside of the attorneys who wrote is has EVER actually read them, that there is a forced arbitration clause in the majority of them, or something similar. I mean hell South Park called this out what a decade ago with the Human Centipad. If it was

You’re completely correct.  Infiniti is totally superfluous.  And the QX80 is awful.  It’s somehow both bulbous AND boxy in the worst possible ways.

Did he also tell you to give them 10/10 ratings because anything lower “doesn’t count”?

Haha, I can vouch for the “Wagoneer Certified” experience being hot garbage.
First off, the few dealers around me selling Wagoneers are just regular schmucky CDJR dealers. Sleaze and all.
I bought a Grand Cherokee, but checked out the Wagoneers just for fun. Beautiful vehicle. HUGE, $$$$. Look to be competing with
