I seems like it was the studio that did the grouping and Disney can be pretty tone deaf to such issues.

The hard part is finding someone that is ME/Indian that doesn’t have a look/accent that isn’t threatening/offputting to Americans, Europeans, and Chinese. The singing bit is just cover.
