Err no. There will be a much higher air gap in the tyres than exists between the cables themselves. Hitting the electric cables would likely not have done the truck itself much damage at all, due to the insulation through the tyres.

Why do you need your foot on the brake for safety? It’s the same brake whether your foot on some electrickery is applied to it.

Automatic handbrake. This is my first car with one (it’s a 2017 Audi, and it cost me about $60 to add it to the options list) and I now have no idea why people still use a manual brake (or worse, just sit on the footbrake).
