This would definitely be a serious issue if portable radios didn’t exist. If you’re that concerned about having access to AM radio during an emergency, just buy a crank-powered one and leave it in your trunk.

How the hell is red paint difficult to source?
Running red lights gets people hurt and killed.
I’ve never owned a truck and probably never will, but I couldn’t care less how many rows someone else’s truck has.
Even if you WERE worried about the lack of affordable food options in rest stops, the columnist basically admits that this isn’t happening:
“...among some other fast food selections... ...Chick-fil-A... ...and Shake Shack...”
In other words, their not even getting rid of all the fast food, there just specifically won’t…
You forgot to cover up the wheels with grey circles. Then they’d all look identical :-P
Cars from the same type/category all have structural similarities.
In other news, all smartphones are rectangular, and all microwaves are a box with a door on the front.
Hell, pick any category of vehicles and they’ll all have similar shapes and features.
If SpaceX took the time to assign a younger employee to “shadow” him and learn everything he could before he “retires or dies”, that’s a pretty good indication that he still was still considered valuable in the company.
That seems like an issue that can be solved by a few security cameras.
That’s too low-tech (and sane) of a solution for a company like Tesla to even consider. Their fix will involve A.I. or lasers or something.
Still EXTREMELY mad at Honda for discontinuing the Fit.
I really want a new compact economy hatchback. I guess it’s either a Soul or a ::vomits in mouth a little::, Mirage?
Not to mention: I like being able to go out for a few drinks at a bar and not have to make the choice between a) paying an expensive cab fare or b) putting other people’s lives in danger.
“Look, can we all just kinda admit that my personal preference is the objective truth, and ignore all the myriad ways in which the alternative is better for society and the planet?”
It’s still full of half-truths and misleading statements. If you think space tourism is a waste of resources, that’s fine. But the rockets themselves aren’t fundamentally different (or more polluting) than the ones used by NASA for more useful purposes.
If you’re tying to suggest that privately-developed rockets are worse than NASA’s that makes no sense. The Apollo rockets used kerosene, the Space Shuttle used solid rocket boosters, and the the Atlas V (which NASA made extensive use of before SpaceX came around) uses both kerosene AND solid boosters.
Why are you…
