In Canada it is a criminal offense so the penalties are worse, also people trying to get into Canada from the US and other countries don’t realize Canada views it that was and can deny them entry.

My concern is if you damage one of those castings, that would probably write the thing off right there. At least the body shop doesn’t have to worry much about aligning body panels

Living in northern Alberta I will try this at -35c and update you, had a guy from the UK tell me that they had this heated dipstick that would warm your engine using the battery. Had to point out I run a battery heater, block heater and interior heater that pull 1500w don’t think the battery will make up for that

I would assume this increase ties in with the availability of cheap hacking tools to change the mileage

I live in Western Canada and even if the plow has gone across the road you often have accumulations of snow and have no option but to drive on it. This however seems a complicated and expensive solution.

Im thinking an impact on the front wheel would tear off the control arm mounts, on most cars you can replace the shock tower as it is glued and riveted in place, this thing it would be the whole front casting
