Not common, but one of my favourite of my motorcycles to just ride on, not in a hurry, '68 R50/2, plain and simple and sweet...
BMW dualsport, in this case a 1200GS, the tractor of motorcycles that still handles sweetly, nice to tuck behind and stay behind a young kid on his Ducati on one of the 100s of Colorado canyon twisties... and then ride single track without changing a thing as part of a multi-week Alaska trip :)
I picked up an '03 Forestor aka Colorado Lesbianmobile in forest green... bland, but hell of an efficient in the snow... and my first car ever < 20 years old, heated seats I am liking ;)
For two winters in Denver when I could not ride my GS to work I drove a 2WD '71 F100 pickup on snow days, 4 on the floor, one a granny, drum brakes all around, the previous owner in Seattle where I got whilst living there had put big fat tyres on it, no heater, lap belt, steel dash, 6ft solid steering column attached…

I currently do a 90 mile or so commute, all year round, this is SO much fun compared to a car - (free) HOV use, 50 mpg, accelerates + brakes + handles like a $100K car, and I get to play on the dirt in the weekend...
(Looking to reduce my commute ASAP.... damn sequester!)
