I really don't get that whole phenomenon. Why is it a new meme to implement random Pony cartoon characters wherever you go? Forums, avatars, news articles - they're everywhere.

The specs on the PSOne were so old, they took virtually no resources to emulate. The Gamecube add-on to the Wii relied on physical controller ports and memory card slots, thus increasing the cost. The PS3 had to add the emotion engine for the PS2, and then spend more money trying to emulate the games without it.…
