Forgot to put I meant wrists not elbows! Doh!
Oh I completely agree. I meant ridiculous in comparison to when the school started standardized dress when I went there and also to a lot of other dress codes I've seen at other schools. It's more of a surprise how lax it is compared to others. I guess I didn’t make that clear. I just always give Little Who the “back…
Ha! The second half of that rule is that it cannot show midriff if they lift their arms up.
Little Who’s uniforms are so lax it’s ridiculous. Any solid color polo with an emblem no bigger than a dime. If the shirt does not go past their elbows they can leave it untucked. Khaki, navy, black or grey pants, capris, shorts or skirts. No belt and any shoes they want. I went to the same school and we had a much…
This was my thought. Most of my stuff is classic but I've had the occasional pieces that were a little too trendy and eventually they don't work for me anymore. I think maybe he should stick to more basic pieces and only have the occasional trendy piece?
Mine is a combination of your uniform, maxi skirts+tanks+cardigans and leggings and tunic combinations. I have some variations in the skirts and leggings lengths but other than that it's just two or three pieces and I'm good to go
Mr. Who learned this lesson early on from being the only one of his friend group to own a truck. They have all learned that he will not only be there to help (meaning: witness) but he will be much more compliant if they pay for a meal after whatever project they needed the truck for is done.
While it wasn’t first day of school, it was easily the biggest moment in 13 year old me’s life.
Little Who is 11 and just finished her 2nd week of 6th grade. She’s started about 8 months ago and is pretty regular at this point. She got her period like clockwork a few days ago and I told her to make sure to wear her dark pants (standardized dress code) and to stay away from khakis until it’s done. The khaki…
I tried to teach my dad how to play Crazy Taxi on my Dreamcast but he just wanted to go with the flow of traffic. His fares were so pissed.
I worked at a shoe store in my local mall and the public bathroom hallway was literally right next door to us. We had a lady argue for 15 minutes about wanting to use our bathroom because she couldn’t wait to walk down the hallway. The walk to the bathroom would have taken way less time than her argument which the…
She also believes that minimum wage workers should not be hiked to $15/hr.
This made me actually giggle resulting in looks from coworkers. Well done, Pinkam.
Mr. Who and I currently live with my parents and I have had to bite my tongue so many items when this shit hit the news. This is how a normal viewing of these news segments would go
So a coworker just walked by and saw this headline. She said “why would he need to be in rehab? He’s just a normal person that got caught.”
Bless her heart.
I am in no way saying Texas education is in any way at its best. I still live in Texas and have my whole life. While there is the heavy handed “we are the only state that was its own country” (even if it was only for 5 seconds) and Remember the Alamo is slammed into our heads, there was still a major coverage of U.S.…
I feel you on everyrhing. Omg the bitching about the weather. It’s Houston so it’s always humid and I had a person once tell me it was way too hot outside and we needed to do something about it. Sure, let me call magic pixie in the sky. Not to mention they had only been waiting outside for ten minutes while I was two…
I work at a tourist trap in Houston (it’s all about spaaace!) and while it’s essentially a museum, people treat it as if it’s DisneyWorld and they should be treated like fucking royalty. So when there is a 2 hour wait for a tour and parents ask me why and I explain the whole concept of a large amount of people wanting…
