Those moron racists were directing the swastika solely at the black group they were tormenting, in this instance. That symbol has become a calling card for their white-supremacist groups, unfortunately.

Mob. Democracy. You know, one or the other. I wonder... What’s the season-long record for Rich White Guys who want to yell the n-word at people?
Drop everything? Fuck off. Go back to forwarding emails about Obama’s questionable birth certificate and bitching about Starbuck’s cups. Let the grown-ups try to make a…
What you just said is the equivalent of “I’m not racist, I have this black friend.”
Jews do not “own” feelings of offense/oppression in response to the swastika, any more than any other victim groups of the Holocaust, so no, there is no “oppression appropriation” here. Given the racial tension and other incidents outlined in this article, I think it’s pretty safe to say the swastika drawn was…
Yeah, all these people using their 1st amendment rights to free speech and assembly to demand freedom, justice, and equality. It’s un-American!
This is a dumb opinion. Thanks for posting.
There’s a lot of acceptable space between “drop everything & respond” and “don’t respond for a week, refuse any suggestions for improvements, & claim the victims brought this on themselves.”
This is a hilarious, hilariously dumb take that I unfortunately knew would be down here somewhere.
You sound so disappointed. Do you get bummed out any time an authority figure is deposed, or do you have a unique affinity for Wolfe?
Yep, that’s it. Nothin to see here, guys. Just a buncha sensitive, thin-skinned black people (7% of all students on campus) being treated like shit by others on campus routinely. The mob (7% of all students on campus assuming all black people were actively protesting) won again. Hopefully, Trump will give you your…
If you mean that he was supposed to drop everything and ensure a healthy and safe learning environment for not only his students, but for his employees and peers, then yes. That is what he was supposed to respond to. When given the chance, however, he responded with apathy and an air of aloofness.
Yes, the African American community won AGAIN. When will white people finally catch a goddamn break?!
It probably didn’t help that Wolfe demonstrated his unwillingness to engage the students’ concerns when he told protestors that (1) his answer won’t be good enough for them, and (2) it’s all in their minds.
Sure it’s not a victory over racism, but it’s literally impossible to do any one thing that has that result. Making sure the people in charge care and make it a priority to have a non-racist campus is an important prerequisite to getting practical measures in place.
