I actually liked the Top Gear America with Tanner, Rutt, and Adam, but only when they were doing dumb stuff with cars that weren’t built to do the dumb thing they were trying. In those parts they actually felt like they were friends trying to either prank or one-up each other. Anything with a new or even newish car

Why are there no real electric crossovers? If the people want crossovers and the flat floor of one is ideal for electrification why not just crank out as many of them as you can. And no the Model X and upcoming Y don’t count at best they are bulbous sedans, with the X having fancy adjustable suspension to fake it, and

So many questions, but I guess the only one that matters is WHY?!?

For me its price, price, and looks. Not one decent all electric car is below $25k and I’m not going to have a $600 per month car payment and 0 equity just so I can go electric. In my perfect world there would be a $25k-30K electric Jetta replacement and a $25K-30K electric Tiguan replacement. Oh and it would be nice

No, I accounted for that. Read the last paragraph of my comment again. In that paragraph I do say it is possible that the author is saying the payload energy (i.e. the energy released by the warhead) isn’t affected by distance. But as I said payload size is affected by the delivery vehicle which faces its own size and

Read through most of the comments and I’m surprised I didn’t see this obviously false statement called into question:

I was in the market for a new car so Carvana didn’t make sense on that front, but I was able to use Carvana’s “sell your car” price from their website to add $1500 to my trade in’s value over what the dealer offered.

And now Deadspin is just dead, somebody be sure to turn out the lights and make sure all the doors and windows are locked.

Is it just me or did they disable comments on all new Deadspin stories? They are up for Jezebel and Jalopnik but all of the Deadspin stories on 10/31 don’t have a comments section.

Thats also at best a misleading point, even fast food employees know that the standard response if a customer doesn’t like something is “I’d be happy to get you a manager”. They just pointed at the owner since that is their boss. And if you're referring to the story on G-O media I'm pretty sure that is the definition

That is a really dumb point. Their Union bargained for editorial independence as part of their contract. So it’s like if you had a job and you negotiated the right to a bathroom break for 15 minutes every 4 hours and you took your permitted break and then got fired. Insubordination in this case is indistinguishable

It appears to be after according to the Washington Post.

I can’t even recall the last time I read a story on ESPN.com. it has been at least a year. Yahoo sports, CBS sports, and all of the other copycats are all dead to me because they don’t tell any stories. I occasionally read stuff on The Ringer (go unions). And while I subscribe to The Athletic I only read a story on it

They were told to stick to sports. As if the owners never actually read the site or decided to actively destroy what they bought. The latter makes sense to the conspiracy theorist in me but given the background of the new owners I suspect the former is equally likely. https://www.thedailybeast.com/go-media-tells-deadsp

That is horrible. One step closer to the end of Deadspin.

Can you let me know when you will be returning to sports coverage so I can go back to checking in once or twice per day? I have a lot to do today at work and all of these posts about non-sports topics are distracting because I Must Read Every Single One of Them. Whereas with the sports stuff I really only care if its

Now playing

I’ve been saving this because it by far outclasses every local commercial in every way but I think it is time for the world to be introduced to the Jungle Law Group.

Honestly, I’ve always wanted to be this guy:

Autoplay Stopper chrome browser extension. Need one for phones and tablets though.

These horror stories make me appreciate our local dealer that much more. We went in on our latest purchase and they gave us the advertised price with all incentives etc. without arguing or playing hide the price. They also had on their printout all of the fees etc. so we could see the exact info we needed. They then
