Im going to guess Blizzard didn’t just do this on a whim. There was probably an entire marketing research team looking into this. They even say there was confusion as to what battle.net was. So I think it probably does matter... otherwise they wouldn’t do it 

This is like the first comment I’ve seen that someone fully gets it. It’s about branding and nothing else.
