@Disco-Stu: hehe, i'm not saying it's confusing. but to me a thing needs a word. it's OWN word. and even 2 or 3 of them, with very slight differences between each one, to me thats really whats best. i like my language to have as many toolsas possible even if i won't use most of them that often.

@Disco-Stu: i just like having a different word for different things. it's how i grew up, you see. so i like to use check when i'm checking something out, and cheque when i'm writting a cheque.
