I was just saying “old folks complain about mileage” doesn’t 100% make sense.

It’s more that most cars get multiple miles per gallon. It’s funny otherwise.
This is goddamn hilarious and I don’t know how I’ve never heard of this reverse GPM idea
Maybe you’re not old enough to remember the mileage old people are used to. I am 43 and I don’t care about mileage all that much. Partly because I have a 5 year old car with 30k miles on it because I don’t drive a lot. And I have owned a 67 Lincoln with a 462 (I think), a 68 Mercury, an 80s Chevy Caprice and a…
Supercharger sounds better than turbo. V8 sounds better than V6.
Oh - I hate it when people turn those on (or the parking lights) and not the headlights.
I bought a slightly used Cadillac from a dealer in MD (I live in New Orleans). Aside from Hurricane Ida messing up the process, it went well. Partly because of many of the things mentioned in the article. The car was not at the bottom of the market (I bought what I wanted, not the cheapest thing), it still had four…

Big rigs kind of have to be the way they are. Many passenger vehicles are unnecessarily massive. Especially pickups. So take something even more massive and angular and make it give less on impact and you have turned the thing it hits into more of a crumple zone.
Kinda like those syfi movies and games where a soldier is dropped from a capsule from space to Earth at a high velocity, and the dude just gets out? See Halo ODST.
It’s a lot to be driving around with unless you are coming from the store or going to the range. Then again I don’t go buy ammo or to the range--or drive at all--when I’m in a condition that people would have to call 911 because I’m driving erratically.
Things have been touch-and-go for the television show nearest and dearest to almost every automotive enthusiast heart,
This is dead on, except I wouldn’t be so charitable.
