Also, in MK, without items, and enough players to generate chaos, its impossible to make a comeback in a race between racers of equal skill. Me and a friend found out the hard way (or rather, just my friend, really) when we turned off both the CPU racers and items.

As for the blue shell? Mario Kart's "most hated item" is a tad more complicated. Similar to Kart, Smash's spiky shell acts as a homing missile. But it doesn't target the person in first place. When thrown, it hovers above a single target for a few uneasy moments before plunging downwards.

My cold heart's many degrees beneath the deep freezer!

AHAHAHAHAHA... That's actually right down the road from me! It's not all that.. (or as creepy as it sounds...)

I always love making up nicknames for character's moves (Yes, the all-caps is necessary):

I'll take any combination over "Werehog."

In the grand scheme of things, "Classic Sonic" might as well be just an introductory phase. As depressing as it sounds, Sonic the hedgehog has been "Modern Sonic" for more of his existence than he's been "Classic Sonic." Generations kinda painfully highlighted that fact: two out of the three "eras" in the game

That's why the platforming sections in Colors, Generations and Unleashed were in 2D while the "gotta-go-fast/blast processing" sections were in 3D.

So why bother? Sega has been struggling to find the right Sonic the Hedgehog game balance since 2003's Sonic Heroes — and some would say earlier than that. Each new 3D iteration feels more and more like a licensed property shoehorned into a video game instead of something that originally sprang to life in 16-bit form.
