If it’s a pump n’ dump then whoever’s dumping must be constipated

I can’t imagine what it sounds like - you just know that the type of person who would build this is a believer in straight pipes... so like, a cross between that, and maybe kids at a McDonald’s Play Place slapping cookie pans together
I had heard they were sketchy as all hell and on-par with the “doctor killer” 911 Turbos for generating widows; I’ll happily accept I’m wrong if that’s the case - but I’m seeing other people here mentioning the car as “notoriously hard to keep on the road”
Oooh... a shoddily-built project car with a cooling issue and shitty rims for more than the price of a new Miata (which will be faster in any direction other than straight ahead).
My guess is that supplies are so constrained that the dealer may only reliably be able to get, say, 75% of the trucks they have customers for.
So even if you’re ordering a special build that’s a sale that comes at the expense of another truck you’re selling at/around MSRP.
“I get that supply is tight and they are selling almost every truck they get in before it lands on the lot.”
Alpine A110. Très magnifique!
I was preparing to reply to you and tell you that you’re wrong, that I have a 2016 C350e and that I love it dearly - - - and then I remembered it’s at the shop today...
Go to Australia and get you a CHIKO ROLL
Subaru’s making them for themselves and Toyota - I’m just not convinced there’s the audience out there for much extra competition (though notably the Integra was FWD - and yeah, that segment’s presently empty). You also need to consider that the Acura Integra is going to be more upmarket than the Toyobaru Twins so…
I hate to say it but I do agree with him on this; like - when VW announced the Arteon I thought it was the wrong move (considering how poorly VW CCs were selling at the time). 2-door coupes are just not where the market is right now.
I’m guessing this is one of those cases of “there’s a niche audience that understands what this is, and we’ll see what percentage of Jalops that niche is in the vote”
So in the “cheap Fords are good” camp you’ve got two Euro-spec cars (the Focus & Fiesta) and arguably the Fusion (Mondeo) too - but not knowing whether it was US engineered I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.
We’ll also be charitable and assume you’re not including the automatic Fiestas/Focuses when you say they’re…
“if it doesn’t suck, it might be my next ride”
Yep.
Like the article said, “Dream Job” :(
Ergonomics/Software Designer/Engineer. I’m not sure what specific job this is (it’s probably not one job, really) but in short, I want to be the guy who:
IMO it’s that when they’re at their best (lately) they’re on par with like, Nissan. Why would anybody buy an Outlander? Well, why would anybody buy a Rogue? It’s all generic milquetoast crossover SUV blanddom - and what happens is a (probably younger, probably less “car” enthusiast, and possibly worse credit) person…
They probably saw Ford trademarking the name “Skyline”, thought “Shit, we didn’t think it was necessary to trademark all of our old names!” and sent the intern to the trademark office with a stack of old brochures.
How well does the new engine respond to fat “blapps” on the throttle while waiting for the light to change?
