Hey Brendan - for someone who is new to Spotify after Google Play Music turned to something far worse:
something something BMW driver, something something no turn signal, something something something Tesla camping in the fast lane, something something something Bad Dragon
I mean sure it’s ugly as fuck but I assume it’s fun to drive... and while you’re driving it you don’t have to look at it!
I had a Chevrolet dealer in Wisconsin tell me that nobody buys Subarus because they can’t handle winter. I asked him to elaborate but he just went on about how good the Trax is.
It baffles me that automakers here in the US don’t offer variants that they offer in much smaller markets on the basis that “they won’t sell here”. Why can I not get a C-class wagon here and I can get one in Australia?!? THERE ARE MORE CALIFORNIANS THAN THERE ARE AUSTRALIANS.

wanna see dat knuckle
what, the sound of a fat bloke standing up from a low seat?
I genuinely think more people (such as yourself) should be considering plug-in hybrids. Yes, the EV purists will pout because you’re not driving a “”””real”””” EV; but on your day-to-day commute you probably will be. Go a whole month or more without kicking over the IC engine - but when you need to hit the highway and…
That’s mostly correct but what the important distinction is here is the impact of not meeting the advertised range vs advertised MPG.
Just in case anyone thinks I’m against EVs I should mention that 2 of my 3 cars have J1772 ports on them (the third predates it, lol) - and specifically of range my wife’s Leaf is currently getting about 58 miles on a charge due to the extreme bloody cold and the fact that she has a lead foot
As an aside I think it’s pretty frustrating that talk is of cars with 200 miles or 250 miles and so on is based on a use-case that isn’t reflective of the way a maximum range would actually be used.
I mean; this doesn’t come across as a bad thing, to me - think of what the SRT folks can learn from the engineers behind the Giulia Quadrifoglio’s engine and vice-versa!
