Hang on, hang on...
You're not accusing a politician of doublespeak, are you?

It didn't need to be cheaper than the nano; the point was that it could have been as cheap, or near as cheap - and then you'd have an actual car, instead of a wheelbarrow with windows on it :)

edit: Ok now I see what you're referring to; yeah I meant "cheaper than $3,600".

The thing I don't get is that the Tata Nano was introduced as the "cheapest car in the world" at ~$2,000 - but it looks at least $1,600 worse than this car - despite the mode modern styling and such. This looks like an actual car - the Nano looks like an over-sized Fisher-Price car. So couldn't Maruti have found a way

I'm just going to re-post the rant I had the other day on "The Morning Shift":

3rd Gear: Subaru Profits Up 6x!
I am so damn sick of hearing Subaru saying "we don't have the money to develop" or "it isn't in the budget" regarding any number of the things we want them to build. Where's the bespoke platform WRX that we

I find the 200C to be the best looking of the three trim specs; the chrome is very tastefully done and compliments it well; the black trim on the 200S really only looks acceptable on a few color combinations.

Yeah, but ain't one of these cars got DAT ASS

Easy.

Because they've experienced Parisian driving.

DEM FANGS

3rd Gear: I am so damn sick of hearing Subaru saying "we don't have the money to develop" or "it isn't in the budget" regarding any number of the things we want them to build. Where's the bespoke platform WRX that we were promised? (they should really keep the "Impreza" name on the 2015 model if they're honest).

Yeah, I was about to post the same thing. The interior is vastly improved, I particularly like the HVAC controls and the little storage space underneath them. Of course, this is a top-trim, it remains to be seen if they'll all be this much improved.

All over, all I see is a 2010-2011 Toyota Camry

Volkswagen USA today is trying to be Toyota in 2008, minus the unintended acceleration.

Anyone from any EU country who's spent significant time in the US (or any American who has spent time abroad) want to weigh in on the reliability of American networks - or conversely, tell me that it's just me that has trouble?

re: 4th Gear - Hyundai and Verizon 4G (slightly offtopic)

Thus continues the week of the Crack Pipe?

Read: VE ON. VE ON.

Hang the filthy bogans with their bow-tie badged Commodores! Every time I saw one of those, I wanted to punch them through the windscreen, Terminator style.
It's a fucking Commodore! Though it's a bit porky (like most Australians), it had phenomenal handling and damn near 50/50 weight distribution. It was fully

Do we know Subaru won't offer it in the US, or do we just strongly expect based on all known good and reliable evidence that they probably won't.

Hey kids...

It looks like it just saw its best friend get killed.
