Are you sure about Subaru? They have vehicles from 2003 to 2011 on the list, I wouldn’t exactly call that a short stint. In fact, it looks like as of 2015, they still had not dropped them:

Just been to the eye doctor actually and they tell me I’m doing fine, but of course I can’t see that so I’ll have to take their word on it.
So are you saying the government regulator gets to decide who should incur what risk? The person who does not wear a seat belt has decided to take on that risk. Why is that a reason for the regulator to step in and say we’re going to save that person in spite of his own choices but put someone else at risk instead? A…
My standard is to maximize the potential of the technology which they fell far short of. Fell short of to the point of having been negligent in their application.
I didn’t write anywhere that “it” is government’s fault. I wrote that government put bombs in the dashboards of cars. A non-takata air bag is also a bomb. It also can kill people and they have. The deaths from Takata’s airbags are relatively small in number compared to airbag deaths in general. This is very simple to…
Again, you can’t argue with what I wrote so you’re insisting on assigning me something I did not write that was fabricated by you. I did not discuss propellants. I discussed what airbags are by design, by the standard they must meet in the USA.
Takata’s cheap ass airbags save lives too. They save more than they kill. If that’s your standard, then why is anyone angry with Takata for making airbags more affordable? Making it more possible for people to buy newer safer cars than they otherwise could?
Oh, so you can’t argue with what I wrote so you’ve decided to replace what I wrote with something entirely different. Did I write government chose Takata’s explosive? No I didn’t. The simple fact is the government put the bombs in your car. It’s still a bomb, takata explosive or not.
You don’t know the history of airbags. The government has insisted upon the unbelted male standard since day one. It has killed people since it was first implemented. It has killed people who would have lived otherwise. Your dear government implemented this standard despite knowing full well that it would cost people…
Let’s call this what it is: A serious crime, necessitating life in prison for those responsible.
Airbags have been killing people since they were first mandated. But when the government didn’t listen to engineers that was okay I guess.
More like, fuck you for putting what is pretty much a fertilizer bomb in my face.
Kudos to you if you are ok with airbags in your car that could potentially send shards of metal to your face.
Technically the federal government put the bomb in your car. Even working properly an airbag is an explosive device. They all have a degree of risk, some more than others. Standards that would make airbags less explosive have been resisted by fedgov.
Bullshit. No, correction: fucking bullshit.
