I agree. The other car companies had decades to invest in electric and passed the buck.

In 3 months Tesla will probably have most of these issues figured out. In 6 months, they will most likely be making thousands of Model 3s per month. And in 1 year, Ford, GM, VW et al will still be ringing their hands about electric cars.

There are no other options that are able to drive a reasonable distance AND charge in a reasonable amount of time.

Tesla would be making tons of money if they didn’t keep investing in themselves for the future. If they just kept selling Model Ses they would be making a profit, but they are advancing the ball for battery costs, cheaper electric models, and infrastrucuture.

Right, but you could still probably fix the issue with a plug kit, compressor, fix-a-flat. No need for a big spare in the trunk, just store some plug tools.

Most flats can be fixed with a plug kit and/or a 12V compressor or can of fix-a-flat. If a person can put on a spare, then they are just as capable of using a plug kit.

The door key pad is a huge bonus. I use that thing constantly. Go on a run, leave keys locked in the car. Go to the movies, leave keys in the car etc.
