So Gameification is just the process of making people feel like they've accomplished something from doing normal bullshit, and putting it on some type of scoreboard for ego purposes.

No, you aren't being anal. Every point you made tells more about how wrong they got this game. I was looking forward to it because I thought it would feel a bit more authentic with character's believable personalities and they fucking touted the realism and interactivity of this game when we first heard about it.
