It’s debatable if being an EP means much in terms of creative input.

And they explained the polar bears anyway! I legitimately never understood why that was the go to example for people complaining about the unresolved mysteries when it was something that they actually did address.
Well between his script revisions being rejected and his character not being the heart of the movie, those are the only details out there as to what the issue is, and he has not refuted either of those aspects. If there is more to it he’d be well served to start sharing, because as of now the only publicly available…
I don’t think he’s not telling the truth. I think telling the truth as he sees it, and if he thinks that a director not wanting to constantly listen to script revisions from the 5th or 6th billed actor is “gross” and “abusive” then his truth completely out of touch with reality.
Or maybe, like SO many people out there, he has quite an elevated view of himself and the slight was that the way he was treated matched the reality of his role and stature rather than his perception of such?
Thanks for this. People don’t understand how NDA’s work, but if Fisher has an NDA that prevents him from sharing details, then he has absolutely already violated that NDA by sharing what he has so far.
At least I don’t blindly believe nonsense so long as it comes from someone who checks the same demographic boxes as myself.
I would really like to hear you try to explain who else was supposed to hire the investigator if not WB. Or how that’s any different than what he could have expected when he asked WB to investigate. Or how that prevented him from talking to them, if he planned on telling the truth. Or how their reporting the findings…
“My guess is that the “abusive” behavior is execs and Whedon getting tired of listening to his “suggestions” and it finally reached a point where he was told some variation of, “you need to just shut up and do the job you’re under contract to do.””
He was literally saying that women who identify as women are women. That’s the opposite of a “transphobic dog whistle”.
It didn’t need to be pointed out, but it’s not remotely transphobic to clarify that you are being inclusive when you say women.
Seven-deuce was saying that women include both people who are biologically female and who those identify as a woman. Please explain how that’s transphobic. Really, go ahead and give it a shot.
It would take a hell of a lot of benefit of the doubt to justify his not meeting the investigator. Far more than those who jumped on the Whedon “hate train” gave him after these clearly nonsense allegations were made.
The least well-known actor in the movie playing the least well-known Justice League hero got mad because they didn’t accept his script revisions? If only this wasn’t so predictable when he was completely unwilling to share any details about his allegations.
In fairness, a slightly worse Mission Impossible could still be a damn good movie.
John Wick would not have been nearly as good with an actor who had better range, but could not pull off the physical and stunt work he did. In my book that makes him a good actor (in that role), not just someone kicking ass in a cool movie.
Yeah this is a weird one... like Disney probably got the casting wrong in the first place in terms of ethnicity, but it also feels a bit weird celebrating a Filipino actress with a very limited resume in recent years, losing a job she already had to an actress who played a big role in a Star Wars movie.
Agreed, and it also seemed like they were also setting him up as the primary antagonist in season 1. When they decided they didn’t need an antagonist and just made him another friendly weirdo, his character got a lot better, or at least more palatable, as well.
Yep. And Alexis really grows on you too. My wife hated her for the first season and a half or so and she ended up being her favorite character.
There’s an episode in the later seasons where they sow the seeds of a potential rift between Moira and Johnny at the outset - except this is Schitt’s Creek, so there’s never even a question that it will be resolved in the most innocent and loving way possible. There’s something very peaceful in watching a show like…
