ANU in Canberra! My ATAR was a lot higher than I expected and I could've done something like law or those sorts of inanely hard things. But I really did not want to do that. If I could, I would've studied a double bachelor or Arts, but that does not exist. One of my friends got me onto ANU and my careers counsellor

Thank you, Eric! I was so happy I made myself dizzy from my happy dance.

Just got into uni.

I just want to thank whomever at the University Admissions Centre decided that it would be a good idea to release university offers at 6pm as opposed to the sensible time of, well mornings in general, as has been done in the past and by every other institution involved in the months long process that has lead to this.

He won in 5 too! Though he wasn't as impressive ….

Well, to be fair there are a lot of great matches since those two finals.

Holy crap. Kokkinakis vs Gulbis might be the best match I've seen in a really really long time. Probably one of the best matches since the Nadal/Federer and the Roddick/Federer Wimbledon finals.

My parents have watched and love The Fall. Mum yelled at dad when he saw the 2nd season DVD and didn't buy it.

I know Affro and you really liked it. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did, but I did!

Just back from seeing Birdman, which somewhat surprisingly mum and dad both really loved. Though mum kept commenting on all the bad edits and then expressed her delight that it was not nominated for an Oscar for editing.

Yes. I spent many lunchtimes playing it in Primary school.

I was really hoping he'd have an actual answer, not one that comes across to me saying that if someone who was a rapist - or at the very least an alleged rapist where most if not all the evidence points toward them actually committing the crime - didn't have all this "critical mass" around them, then the project would

I don't know what type of Baccalaureate exams you are talking about - Bachelors, Romanian, IB - but it unfortunately seems that 4-5 texts are the go. Except for Extension which carries 3, but that's worth half of that Standard and Advanced courses anyway. Though I completely agree with you there - I would rather study

Awwwwwwwww that's adorable.

Here's a really fascinating article about Leni Riefenstahl with some imbedded videos of her work, including the entity of Triumph of the Will:

Why, it is a pleasure, dear David! Have a spectacular day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE! STO-LAT!

The schools are getting much better in that regard, and the board is starting to write better exams.

They've really slacked off with that unit lately in that many of the questions are perfect for the Conflicting Perspectives unit but awful for History and Memory. I don't know why they don't just set different questions for the electives - they do in literally every other module.

I have no clue. But the module is about not only representation in text but the interplay and conflict between history and memory. So I guess the question would relate to the power that memory holds over what may be historical fact? I'm not entirely certain.
