Johnson is on a mission to work with actors whose attributes include being the best, brightest, and most interesting, but those qualities ultimately pale in comparison to how recognizable they are. And Hollywood is offering those actors.

i’m gonna forget that.
Does Norton still count even thought he left before The Avengers?
I don’t think that Legolas was alive in the second age, probably, but it would be far from the most canonically wrong thing this show has done to include him.
That’s really sad because his nonprofit promoting civics education correctly identified the gaping hole in education which led to the rise of Trump.
Are you thinking of the dedicated public-school music teacher he played in Mr Holland’s Opus?
No love for the Dreyfus Affair smdh
Well whatever you think of his views, at least he picked the right time and place to express them
I realized that I might not be fully awake yet when I saw the header image and thought, “Why does this scene from Life of Brian look so weird?”

It’s crazy how awful AI has made practically every corner of the internet these days. Question/answer websites like Quora are unreadable gibberish now, and Facebook is a vast wasteland of bots endlessly sharing bad AI art with other bots. Granted, Facebook has been on the decline for years, but it’s still surprising…
The sinister part is that before and during his presidency a whole lot of right-wingers insinuated Obama was illegitimate and “un-American” for a variety of reasons, including that he was a secret Muslim (which is seen by those people as Not Christian and Therefore Terrorist).
Every website that relies on Google-based traffic is going to die as Google traps users on their own page reading answers stolen from those websites. If you thought a ton of useful websites died a decade ago during the Facebook-driven “pivot to video” disaster, this is going to be that tenfold.

The AI results are garbage and yet another thing I have to ignore and…
Carr is my favorite of all the golden age mystery writers. I would love either a Gideon Fell or a H.M. TV series
B-b-b-ut...AV Club comments and Twitter have assured me that JK Rowling was actually a bad writer all along, and the Harry Potter books are terrible. Surely a brilliant creative person like Guillermo Del Toro must think so too?
Unless you interpret Hunger Games as a verb. “Marvel plans on Hunger Gamesing a screenwriter until they have an X-Men script”. I assume it means “to force someone to participate in bloodsport,” but tbh, I’ve never actually read the books/seen the movies.
I at least appreciate that Neeson was ok making fun of himself on Atlanta:
Liam Neeson had almost managed to get people to forget about that time he talked about walking down the street trying to beat up black guys with a baseball bat. Don’t drag yourself into the negative spotlight for Kevin Spacey of all people, my dude!
It’s like everything and nothing man...
