My problem with Windows isn't it's complexity, my problem is with it's stability. I've used every Windows version since 95. I know Windows extremely well. I don't need "training wheels", as you say. OS X isn't about needing training wheels, it's about being able to rely on your operating system.

Not having to use Windows alone is worth at least a grand. Taking that into account, Macs are pretty damn cheap.

iTunes is so much better on a Mac. I installed it and set it up on my parents PC recently and it was terrible to work with. A lot of the hate iTunes gets definitely comes from PC users, which is understandable. But use it on a Mac and you'll love it.
