Alternative fact: Steve Bannon’s rapping Shakespeare adaptation was the inspiration for the musical “Hamilton.”

Yes, inability to commit to their future, and refusal to stand by Katie is a good way to encapsulate the larger issue. Though Katie grossly overplays the “you HAVE TO take my side on all things/hate this person forever” card. Especially now that she’s in cahoots with Stassi again and wants to be an Alpha Mean Girl.

Counterpoint: Schwartz does not deserve that hug. Katie can be very sharp, but Schwartz can be condescending and dismissive. And is also a giant man-child (a more benign one than Jax, but a man-child nonetheless) who refuses to get a job- I don’t count his few and far between modeling gigs as a job.

That’s true - that was odd as well. Normally they would all be jockeying to console him. Unless the producers didn’t let them chase after him so he is making a dramatic solo exit (which failed), it is telling that they didn’t go after him.

That scene with Nick going to the hotel room with the ladies and crying was so weird and disjointed. It didn’t effectively create drama either, it was just strange, and made my waning interest fade even further. If Nick can’t even pretend to care about the journey™ and the relationships with the women, how am I

This article made me remember that former Olympic swimmer Amy Van Dyken got in an ATV accident which left her paralyzed.

Trump has said he would only accept $1 as his salary as president. Couldn’t find any more recent articles on this - but below is one from November.

No matter how irritated I get with dummies on twitter, and then with myself for starting shit, I cannot resist sometimes. For instance one minute ago when I saw some fool posting about how this all cancels out bc Trump is taking a $1 salary. Um, no.

You win kinja today. It was the “think about it” that really got me.

Haha, you are one of my all-time faves as well. It feels nice to say something upbeat and happy like that for the first time since, oh, January 20.

Are you two-timing me on internet high-fives with other commenters? I never.

Agreed that they probably edit down personality to give people a broader appeal.

Sean and Catherine are both a riot on Twitter. I never would have guessed based on his season.

It’s insane, they make him as bland as possible. The most fun bunch we’ve seen so far was the group of former bachelors brought back in the first ep to give Nick “advice” and razz him a little. I have a soft spot for Boys Good Naturedly Horsing Around, but at least we got to see a little personality instead of, say,

Bachelor has been a total snooze this season, as was Ben’s season. I don’t know if it’s because the bachelors themselves are actually that boring, ABC edits them that way to make them seem like an unobjectionable Ken Doll come to life, or some combination of the two. For instance, Sean Lowe is so much funnier than how

I don’t think it did. But there was a cacophony of yowls.

This is a good point. Presumably we’ll have some hyperinflation, people will lose everything, and then we’ll resort to bartering.  Good gravy, I’m going to need some manual labor skills, aren’t I?

I legitimately thought to myself yesterday - at what point should I take some portion of my savings out of my account and hide it in a mattress?

I was telling my friend today that I didn’t fully grasp how important the 1st amendment is until yesterday. I thought I understood it intellectually, I studied it in law school, but I still didn’t completely get it in practice. If we didn’t have freedom of the press, and freedom of assembly, or to speak our minds on

This is correct, just adding a cite. Trump repeated this lie (at best a very misleading statement) multiple times during the campaign. And this is what Trump does with his constant barrage of lies - you’re constantly bogged down in all of them trying to figure out if there’s any truth to any of them.
