But the expensive iphones don’t make the owners more likely to kill other people on the road. Big trucks inhibit visibility of pedestrians and cause more damage when they hit other vehicles. Other than that I guess good point.

I have a 90 year old client that drove in a brand new 1958 Cadillac when a friend got one. She said it was poor quality, with carpet coming up on the floor, door handles loose and falling off. Just one anecdote but it was fun to listen to a person that had been in a brand new 1950's American automobile.

Is there a word for the unique racism against African Americans, similar to antisemitism is a specific word for a specific kind of bigotry?

It is a nice, refreshing look. Beautiful fabric. Well tailored. And definitely not a janitor suit! Those are flapped pockets, definitely a suit hallmark. Kudos to the prettiest boy in the world for having a fun suit.

I hear you on the GMC/Chevy and older Ford/Dodge modified vans. But the roof camper and awning make me want to camp. And I don’t like camping.

I know your education is exponentially more expensive than the prior generation, along with your health care expenses, and your earnings have not grown with productivity since 1972. But other than that, why are you whining?

I want to see this but I am too cheap to rent. Hot Rod is also good. And on Netflix last time I checked.

Also movable feast. He really is an amazing, distinctive writer. But I will admit it takes me a while to read and digest.

This is an example of critical thinking. The rule of a unified standard does not necessarily (or logically if you like) lead to siding with the Trump admin’s lowering. They are two choices and Toyota, et al are making a value judgment for dirtier cars.

That thing is so freakin tall. A 5 year child could be walking in front of it and the driver would not know until, presumably, the sound from crushing the child underneath the wheels.

Amen to all of that. Thanks for pointing out that many bicycle people are often gear heads in their own right that love working on their old cars and motorcycles.

He also has a great podcast where he reads short sci-fi stories. I enjoy it. Fun stories.

I saw the movie on Christmas Day. I have not read the book. Initially the flashbacks confuse a bit but they do make the story more meaningful as the film progresses. I enjoyed it! My only quibble is some of the costumes looked too finished for the era. But I am a costuming fanatic.

All Ford does is make money and cars people want to buy.

Are these the jokes the “PC Police” are keeping us from hearing? If so, then you go PC Police and do you.

First Gear. Car sales will continue to decrease because don’t have enough money and it will get worse. People may have jobs but they pay less than they did a generation ago and health care is *way* more expensive than it used to be. We are heading for a depression.

It was funny. Resting Creep Face got me. Sketch comedy is always uneven. I enjoyed it as much as an SNL show. And Black Men Can’t Jump in Hollywood is also good. Give it a go!!!!!!!!!!!

Fun fact is the County and City of Indianapolis consolidated in 1969 --UniGov!--in order to dilute the Democratic voters in the older part of the city. From that year to 2000 the Mayor of Indy was a Republican.

Glad you are still around and were not destroyed in the Deadspinageddon.

A  IMPD officer in Indy friend tells me the constables are hired by the city of Lawrence (small city within Indianapolis) and are not required to have any training, which seems like a terrible idea.
