The one thing I think would have made it better is if they followed the structure of the book (haven’t read it but have read about it)

And also spawned Lego Batman which, I don’t know how they managed it, is the best Batman movie to date (fight me, you’ll never change my mind)

I’ll go ahead and answer this too. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with saying that. What’s wrong is to dismiss those books purely on the basis of their being “YA”

I work at AAA and hear that shit *constantly.* On a road service call we need year/make/model (for obvious reasons) and it’s fucking mind boggling how often I’ll hear “20XX GMC Denali.” I always have to hold back from shouting at them that that’s a trim level not a fucking model!
