The problem is: we don’t live in Nixon’s America anymore. A failed impeachment bid would do nothing but hurt Dems chances

Oh, it’s not just Libby; it’s a good portion of the commentariat too. I just read through the thread on the “Juiciest Bits” piece and a baffling number of comments say, basically, “just do it anyway, who cares if it works or not?!” We should care because it would backfire spectacularly

There were right-wingers on AM radio here in Denver whining about this being R-rated when it was released and how it must be some liberal conspiracy to lower grosses. I was sooooo tempted to call in just to ask them if they really think the fucking MPAA is “liberal” organization

How so? The red flag law concerns people who know a person reporting that they are dangerous and their guns being confiscated. How would it have helped in this case?

Part of the problem is that current “progressives” don’t actually seem to give a shit about winning elections. All they care about is optics, that some random candidate says and supports the right things is all that matters to them 

Understandable, hopefully we’ll get there someday
