I’m EXTREMELY excited for this era of Connor and McDavid. Gonna be fun to watch them carry the torch for hockey.

What does this change? The B1G was previously home to powerhouses like Indiana. Conference expansion means there will be filler. This incarnation of Rutgers (from 2005 onwards) isn’t really the worst you can do as filler. I define filler as middle of the pack team in the conference.

I’m assuming from this comment that you are in the NYC Metro area, or close to it, as I am as well.

I think Rice can still play, but I don’t know if he’s the best by a wide margin. I think Bradshaw, Moreno, and Rice are the three best options on that list, and can all be significant contributors in the right scenario.

NJ is awesome. Florida is just filled to the brim with “what the fuck”. Not that anyone gives a shit, but I’m incredibly happy I grew up in NJ.

Whoahhh one sec about the FIFA video game. I’m 26, and ever since probably my freshman year of college, FIFA is easily the most played, most talked about, and most anticipated sports game amongst literally everyone I know. I grew up in NJ, live essentially in NYC, and went to Rutgers. Everyone played FIFA. EVERYONE.

What, exactly, makes the NFL a “joke”? The personal conduct policy and hypocrisy, I get that part... but in terms of doing what they actually are designed to do - administer, grow, and run a sports league - they are far from a joke and probably collectively the best in the world at it.

I know you’re making a joke, but it actually is getting great reviews. 79% on rotten tomatoes at this point.

Wow, same suspension as Brady. Taking this a step further... it’s amazing that Greg Hardy, who is legitimately a serial woman beater, gets 4 games (granted from an arbitrator), while Ray Rice’s suspension, who hasn’t show his behavior to be a pattern, was banned for a season. I’m not really defending Ray here, I’m

as a minority who loves hockey, I fucking LOVE IT when I see my fellow brown and black brothers appreciate the coolest sport on earth. nice work hawks. I hope to see my rangers one day hoist the cup

cannot stand this lightning team. Hope Chicago puts em away in 5 - bitter rangers fan =(

I know nothing about him, but it seems to be a crazy jump (even though I know North Dakota is solid at hockey).

Totally agree. Wow I completely forgot that Markus Naslund was a Ranger for a little there. Gomez was a terrible signing but at least it brought as the MacTruck. Captian Useless (Drury) was a disaster signing, and we’re so lucky we were able to buy out that Richards contract because that was a bad one also, and

I’m still hopeful Yandle will find his game. He’s only 28 so it’s not like he’s an old guy, but Duclair looked like a beast. I wanted Duclair up with the big boys to start the season. I’ve heard Buchnevich is as good, but I don’t watch KHL games so I’ve barely ever seen him play.

Yeah, pretty sure it was the years. Isn’t the cap supposed to go up though? What’s the harm in giving him 4-5 years? Again, I get that we have guys that we need to re-sign in that time frame, but I wish we found a way to make it work.

Yeah, that’s what I meant, good catch. Typo, as you can see from my other post where I was talking about watching Boyle on the Lightning. We could really use Brian Boyle right now - he ups his game in the playoffs and he can WIN FACEOFFS WHICH WE CANT DO ARGH

I know circumstances were different at the time of the trade - there was no guarantee that Cally would re-sign in Tampa, and the second 1st rd pick in the deal was conditional on the rangers making the Cup Finals, but throwing in those 2 1st rd picks with Cally for St Louis made the trade awful on the Rangers end. I

also should add that letting Stralman walk and replacing him with Brian Boyle was a headscratching move. I assumed at the time there were cap considerations, and the Rangers do have a lot of players they need to extend, but jesus if the Rangers have Stralman, their D corp (which is still one of the best in the league)

as a huge Rangers fan, it’s really painful to see Cally, Stralman, and Brian Boyle on the Lightning. Insane to root so hard for those guys, and IF the Rangers pull it out tonight, root against them so intensely.

Funny to see Caps fans so sure they will lose. As a diehard Rangers fan, I have no confidence. The Rangers don’t look right, the Caps have been bringing it non-stop, and I have rarely felt like the Rangers have been in control.
