I've thought about this at length, and I don't call this "free" music any more than I call Spotify "free music". If it was free, it would be MP3s that I could download, burn to CD or share with others via email or dropbox.

price?

My media server: Deathstar

Exactly my feelings.

Been using TiKL for a while, works with both Android and iPhone. Works really well.

I so agree with this comment. But what if I want them in 3D later?

Can I sell burned copies on ebay?

it will if you follow my instructions :)

If you have a DroidX like I do, installation proved troublesome. Here's how I got it all going.

I'll set one up in NYC!

Any suggestions on how to make my hackintosh more stable? I'm on 10.6.7, but iLife and iWork stuff crashes a lot. I'm guessing it's due to a video display driver issue. I'm using a dsdt.aml file someone else who has my laptop created. Maybe that's my biggest problem.

I actually have been using Winamp, because it seemed to work better for me than the stock music apps. I wish that Winamp supported the multiple disc tag (Disc 1, Disc 2) because it just follows track number, nothing else. So a dual-disc album gets totally messed up.

Got it sorted. Took the better part of an afternoon since I'm at work and ... well, working.

That Daniel Tosh video is very funny. Rather crude, but very funny.

Thanks for that reply. Extremely informative. I tried to give you a star/heart. Not sure if that worked.

I have a Droid X. I upgraded to the Gingerbread leak, and ever since my battery life is terrible and the phone is on the slow side. (Not terrible).

ohhh. now that makes sense. Been using tweetdeck but didn't think of using it that way. Still, I think you might miss something important you wanted to know about.

Woot for Save Ferris!! :)

wow, I remember this. I thought I was so cool b/c I discovered it.

Back in college (1998 or so), I'd carry around my buddy list file (.blt) on a floppy disk. Then, I'd install AIM on the college computer (they uninstalled it every night), logged in - then I'd upload my buddy list - BAM! Awesome stuff. I probably have that floppy somewhere, maybe.
