CP because this is pretty average-to-high price for these without needing to tear apart someone’s half-assed cosmetic wannabe-upgrades.

oh god...the number of times I had to reach out on the freeway and lift the wiper blade, so it’d slap off the ice when I let go... More than any other car I’ve driven!

Is it better at flying than the first PC AC was? I played that one for about 5 missions before I got fed up with the weird external stall-cam, and needing 10,000 feet of vertical to recover from a stall at 300kt...

Oh man, I totally forgot about how bad the defroster was! That’s right! My ex had hers fitted with a remote start, just because of how long it took to get the windows to stay clear in the winter! And that wasn’t even up north. At worst, she only had to deal with the kind of snow Lansing gets...

I’m a troll, because you couldn’t make the simple inference from what I said, that I was excusing the Corolla for having a 4 speed because its gas mileage didn’t expose a need for more gears?

It seized 3 calipers in the time I was dating my ex. I replaced them along with their pins, and lubricated them every time I did the pads. I dated her for 3 years, and around 70,000 miles of that Elements life. In that time, it never went through the set of front pads it had when I started dating her. The reason it

Dude, it’s nuts! When I opened up Jalopnik this time around, I had 98 notifications! ALL from this post! All but you and like 2 people jumping on me for daring to impugn the honor of such a mediocre vehicle!

As I’ve had to explain to the 913,548 other Element fanboys that’ve dogpiled on me for this one comment, I took it to THREE different Honda dealers, with the low mpg being one of the complaints every time, and was told it was “operating as expected” by all three dealerships. I’m not gonna rebuild a damned engine out

Yes, it was totally the breakup, and not that it’s pretty shit at every box it tries to tick in the “I want to be all things to all people” automotive wish-list it was given. How silly of me. The 16mpg it got when I was the only driver, and babying it? All her fault. AWD never kicked in? Curse her! It went through a

MPG is a pretty simple calculation. Didn’t get it wrong. If there was something wrong with it, I was lied to by 3 different Honda dealers that I had check it out for that, the AWD never kicking in, and it eating a full set of rear brake pads every single oil change. All 3 times I took it in, I was told it was “working

Jesus...Can you make it 100 miles on its dixie cup of a gas tank like that?

Try putting a recliner back there without taking the seats out. Next?

It’s kind of hilarious how many people have gotten on my case about it. Some of them have been commenting back to me multiple times, one in multiple threads! Fanboys...I swear...

3 Honda dealers disagree with you. I lean towards agreeing with you, but nobody would say there was anything wrong with it to fix, so...

It’s rare, by those numbers, but there are a few of the same model with the same 16mpg figure. 139 different fill-ups for just the 2007 EX model alone (268 across all 2007 models). I took it to 3 different dealers and included poor gas mileage as a complaint each time, only to be told it was working as expected.

Oh don’t I know it. I owned a 2000 Turbo Beetle that was round and yellow for a reason... With all the repairs (that were ever so kind as to keep themselves just outside of lemon law time frames), I ended up with one Beetle, for the price of two!

When it comes to weird things like brake balance and computer controlled AWD, I give the dealerships a shot, because most mechanics shops don’t shell out for the computer that lets them actually talk to the hardware and find out what’s really going on. On newer cars, that’s worth its weight in gold, compared to going

There’s a guy somewhere in these comments that’s positively apoplectic that I’ve suggested the gas mileage is trash on it. It’s nice to see someone else can admit the truth! :)
