For what? This isn’t BMW’s fault, this is the driver’s fault. He should get a ticket for speeding or reckless driving or whatever, and if they determine his driving resulted in the death of the passenger he might get manslaughter. Not sure why BMW would be held liable for any of this.

Meh, I don’t have any experience with the e28 but I’ve been underwhelmed by the e39s I’ve driven. I can see why people like them but I’ll keep my e34. The e39 just feels heavy and complicated in comparison, the e34 is simple while still being modern enough to be a comfortable reliable daily driver.
