According to the documentary, he told the boys that they would both get in trouble if anybody ever found out about their relationships. MJ was definitely trying to hide it.  

Perhaps not to indoctrinate them into military service. But certainly into the military mind set. This will mean they will be lifelong supporters (and voters) with respect to the military.

I think JORTC is EXPLICITLY designed to indoctrinate children into joining the military. So, agree to disagree on that point.
