The Norwegians have done *much* better real world tests, and they do so every winter and summer. Read it with Google Translate.

They didn't factor in purchase prices? Because Denmark is the truly odd one out here. A new car in DK is hit with a mountain of taxes, it usually appears in the top 5 places of most expensive cars, with Singapore, Norway and other outliers. So, yes, technically, owning and insuring a car might be cheap in DK because…
Total eclipse of the tart.
Why do people get aggressive and punchy when drunk? I just get giggly and stupid. Worst case scenario is telling a flight attendant a really bad joke and laughing for an hour.
Why not both? As well as gun companies touting lethal weapons as everyday protection, thus creating a need and a practice, car companies celebrate the open road as well as the open throttle. It's still people driving and shooting, but everyone is affected by ideas, and ideas can be shaped and formed and changed.
Wait, I took a minivan to 160 mph and never thought much about it. Fun fact, the six speed auto Ford Galaxy shifts into last gear at 210 kph when under full load. It's the only auto vehicle I have driven that changed gears above 200 kph (admittedly though, I mostly drive manuals).
Wait...German car lacking emotion and expression? Where have I heard this before?
I have to put out a good word for “Anne with an E”. We watched it with the kids (8 and 10) and it’s probably the first show everyone in the family loved with equal measure. It’s modernized, a lot, has great progression, decent actors with chemistry (Anne, Marilla and Mathew play award-worthy!) and allows for a great…
That should be an article in its own right. How can people forget how to behave after a year at home?
That's a baffling piece of information, tbh. Why would companies get away with this? Can't we just regulate that companies with, say, more than 500 staff total, must pay their trainees? Even minimum wage is better than nothing.
I applaud his ability to learn! Personally, I knew quite a few people who kept insisting on buying VW's...and only switched to Japanese engineering after 6-10 German failures.
Wouldn't the perfect Phaeton come with an engine swap, like a Toyota V6? That would solve a lot of issues. In Germany, "Phaeton" sounds like "Blähton", which means "fart sound". I am personally convinced that this fun fact alone made it lose out in a serious marked.
Who quitn't?
Every argument you made is nullified by progress. EVs can do everything you ask them to and, indeed, with the upcoming Hummer, the braindead American approach seems well-covered.
The problem is that every EV station chain has its own system. Gas stations came into being before the advent of apps - they were just looking to get paid. EV chains know that a threshhold exists to keep customers locked to their current provider, holding up prices.
Very good post! As a used car buyer, I am still stuck in the stagnant period. My 2002 Honda Stream is thus thoroughly missed, because it seemed to have been the zenith of automobile development: Spacious, tossable, robust, low fuel consumption. I'm currently stuck a little lower on the ladder, and that's a weird…
It's very cool, I just wonder how you use it. It's not an offroader anymore, but it's not a sporty car either. Maybe it exists to shock your groceries and that Mustang driver next to you in the Walmart parking lot?
Volkswagen is lacking behind in tech, has a high price, poor reputation and a boring design. I don't see the surprise moment. Smart customers checking out the VW's should end up at Hyundai, for a better product at a lower price.
That’s a good thing. Leaf owners own cars that are not meant to travel very far, which, I guess, explains why they’re not travelling far away from home - on average, that is. We have used a ChaDeMo charger a handful of times in two years.
