It’s an illustration. Waiting for a week is nothing. I mean, I wait 2-5 weeks for batteries or clothes or whatever I order from China. Pointing out “one week wait” as a hurdle makes the hurdle sound tiny.

Ah, rental stories. I always book the cheapest stuff and look forward to it. Then they ask me at the counter if I would like to upgrade. I say NO three to eight times, depending on how insisting they are. Then I get a mid-size car or van or something anyway, because that's what's on the lot. 🤦‍♂️🤪

they are often willing to wait more than a week and pay full price to get their desired vehicle”

So many people busying themselves with semantics. Here is a guy that likely has saved about 400 vehicles from being turned into nails. He knows them. He’s got fun facts ready. And he lacks the ability to keep them in proper shape. Still a great view to behold for someone passing by - and maybe the best items will get

A....ninja turtle?

Put that way, it sounds like a diagnosis.

Whut. I had to check what this was, as “Routan” sounded like VW-speak, but I had never heard of it. Someone must have thought the best way to further worsen a VW’s reliability was to slap a badge on a Chrysler. Some Jalop should drive this to Germany to watch grown men weep.

What a fantastically convincing video.

Hm, that's annoying. But, hey, good colours on covetted editions first will usually lead to a trickle down to the rest of the pack later.

Just order what you want. Problem solved.

How often do you crash? I prefer this location to the more rain-exposed vehicles like Leaf and e.

This "family" needs a physics teacher.

Too complex even for a concept? Interesting!

“Leading automakers" is an interesting touch, as the pioneer in PHEVs in my head is Mitsubishi. And you quote Volvo's Samuelsson, heading a company making half a million cars a year. It's possible to lead in different ways than sales, but companies coming on strong in the PHEV market now are almost a decade late.

The point remains that with a proper labour market, these people wouldn’t need a gig-economy-kind of job to survive. There is no strong safety net in the form of government support either. Only then can organized labour negotiate better terms for itself.

905$ million for repairs and, srsly?, overtime pay?

Selling balloon animals in a park is not employment. That's self-employment or the arts. People who work for DD or Uber or ZipZapZoom are very clearly employed - they get instructions based on a commercial platform, sometimes wear branded clothes, only get paid for specifically defined tasks and have no access to

You're correct. RR has lost every bit of its elegance.

...or just a video preseting "a shitshow" when all I am here for are photos of broken lug nuts.
