I feel it's time to deposit an anecdote about this film. This was a compromise movie on a date night for my girlfriend and I tonight. You just can't go wrong with Pratt and Lawrence on the star power scale when it comes to getting couples into the theater.

I thought the last two episodes of Smackdown were particularly nice in that department. I think if Cena actually sticks around and they end up getting Samoa Joe on the blue brand AND they go back to the single branded ppv every 7-9 weeks model from the original brand split than he can really start making the magic

That is wholly pessimistic and a smidge misleading when guys like No Way Jose and Tye Dillinger are getting built up given big matches against those more established indie names. I also think that a few quarterly downturns are SSS and were bound to happen eventually as they did a massive call up including Balor which

Ryan Ward from NXT/Smackdown would refute that assertion.

That makes some sense. At least make them quicker then. No need to have the ROH title match on the show really, shorten up the squash and the matches with no real story. You can get guys on a card while making it leaner.

I see Naito do the subtle selling( he loses the bridge on his German for instance) and I just don't see it from Tanahashi apart from an occasional limp in this match.

That's crap man. Tanahashi got his leg worked over for 20+ minutes and then all of a sudden was FLYING up to the top rope a dozen times which invalidates the fact that Naito crushed his leg. That's same BS Cena used to pull in the late aughts and finally grew out of. Cena has had dozens of great matches half of which

Which is crazy to me but that is the difference between American fans and Japanese fans so good on them I guess.

Tbh I think this is the beginning of a huge on again off again feud for Okada and Omega that may last 3 or 4 Wrestle Kingdoms because that is the pace NJPW moves at for these mega feuds. I can see all kinds of twists turns along the way but it essentially this is a feud where Omega wants to beat Okada for the belt in

They are annoying and petulant as hell at times and the levels of gimmick infringement went from homage to pathetic about a year ago. But they are undeniable in the ring as a high flying heel team in the same vein as Edge & Christian. I'm glad they have developed this super kick party thing as their own gimmick to

Well maybe Ambrose just isn't your thing then I guess. I think that Ambrose can really tap into something when he gets going that comes close to feeling "real" which is rare in wrestling. Him desperately and frantically ramming himself into the barricade and the post to try to pop his shoulder back in so he can keep

Firstly, this show is way too long. We really don't need this many matches because it's taking most of the day to watch it on and off.

That's awesome. I have high hopes for this new album considering how good their self titled was and how boring their second album turned out. In Jamie XX I trust!

I'm glad to see Corbin is still getting some focus as he has earned it after the work he has put in 2016. I could easily see him facing Ambrose at Wrestlemania for the IC title.

I just can't be sold on Fandango as a good hand in the ring but he has improved in meshing his gimmick to his in ring persona.

That is the number one thing holding Dean back. They have locked him into 3 rebounding bouncy spots because crazy people bounce I guess. Anyone who thinks that Dean can't work go look up his FCW title match with Rollins.

I like breezango and the vaudevillians as much as the next wrestling fan but those obviously don't resonate with fans as much as AA, Enzo/Cass, New Day, Revival, DIY. Those are the five teams that are worth it investment wise imo( you could talk me into the Club and the Usos too I guess). I just choose to not die on

I see your point but tbh the division is spread so thin over two brands that it can't be helped. It also hurts that tag team wrestling is devalued as a draw on the main roster because that lack of importance is what is hurting WWE when they try their semi annual recruitment of legit tag teams like the Young Bucks and

I think there would still be squash matches. Smackdown follows the same booking philosophy as NXT so if you get more than 1 or 2 long form matches a show you know it's special. I feel like Smackdown uses its squashes appropriately in that they remind the audience of a wrestler or wrestlers and work as an easy

I believe the reality is that the work split is Vince/Kevin Dunn on Raw and Smackdown is HHH/Ryan Ward( mostly Ward). Ward is the former head writer for NXT and got promoted to Smackdown right after Wrestlemania. This booking/storytelling strategy is Ward's MO to a t. Simple character driven stories with a focus on
