Great story StalePhish. I did about the same with my 2004 Pontiac GTO. Flew from Bay Area in CA to Phoenix, AZ. Dealer picked me up at airport and drove me to their small desert dealership. Drove 12 hours back home and learned how to drive stick on the way. Fun trip.

Great advice. Shop around, especially if you live in a big city. Higher foot traffic means the dealer is usually willing to wait for another customer that may pay more for a car than what you are offering.
